November 8, 2008Sexism in the rock music business?So, am I the only one who's noticed that there aren't many rock bands with girls in them recently? Personally, there's only five that I can think of off the top of my head that have/have had women in them: I Am Ghost with Kerith Telestai, Evanescence with Amy Lee, Paramore with Haley Williams, Lacuna Coil with Cristina Scabbia, and Eyes Set To Kill with Alexia and Anissa Rodriguez. There are many all-male bands that are extremely successful. I'm sure I don't even need to give examples of those. Just turn on your radios or pop in your favorite cd. I almost guarantee you that if you're a rock fan, your favorite band is probably only guys. But then again, that's just my opinion. Obviously, females are very talented artists, vocally and instrumentally. Just look at Alicia Keys and Madonna. But what's hindering them from succeeding in bands? Is it that guys don't want women to be in their groups, fearing problems that may be caused? Or is it that record labels don't see potential in most bands that have a girl in them? What do you think?

August 2, 2008Sooooooooooooo Annoyed....Alright, so my lip got infected sometime last week and I didn't put the piercing in cuz it hurt too much, so now it grew back. *big sigh* My dad says I'm too irresponsible to handle that kind of shit and won't get it re-pierced for me, so therefore I'm stuck piercingless until I'm of age or can get it illegally done (being when I'm 16 and have means of transportation). But to make up for it, my mom bleached out strands of my hair, so now it looks super awesome. Yay!

July 9, 2008Sans Vous, Je Suis Mort ~Chapter 2~*...But Karma Is*Took me a while to get this posted, right??? Haha
Jason had been fairly anxious the whole weekend and now the time had come. It was Monday and he had just gotten out of school. His shift at the coffeeshop started at 3 pm, which was only a half an hour away according to the clock on the dashboard of Jason's car. He went home hurriedly, not wasting any time in the commute from school to home. He had even actually used his study hall time at the end of the day to do homework, instead of flirting with random guys and talking to his friends like he usually did. Dropping his keys next to the keybowl on the small entrance table, he sprinted up the stairs to his room. His sister, Emily, practically jumped out of his way, not about to be run over by a gay man ready to maul anyone who happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. "Where's the fucking fire?!" the 15-year-old yelled after him. "In my pants!" he replied, throwing the door to his room open and dashing through. "Eww," Emily mumbled, flipping her light brown hair over her shoulder and began descending the stairs again. Jason walked up to the 6 foot mirror mounted on the wall, examing his appearance. "Hmm, hair sucks, make-up sucks, and I don't like these shoes," he commented quietly and stepped over to his closet. He knelt down to the numerous pairs of shoes below his clothes and looked them over intently. "No to the Converse, no to the flip flops...Ooh, these are good," Jason said to himself as he picked up a pair of black Vans decorated with neon brass knuckles, skulls, and hearts. He slipped them on, having taken off the pair he wore to school upon entering his room. Jason gave a satisfied smile down at his feet, dusting off the knees of his almost obnoxiously tight black jeans as he stood up. "Now for my hair," he mumbled, walking over to the small vanity in the corner of the room. Jason took out his make-up case, opening it and looking through the different colors of eyeliner and eyeshadow. He bit his bottom lip in concetration, finally deciding on plain black eyeliner and hot pink eyeshadow. Before he applied either of these though, he removed the existing eye make-up. After Jason was satisfied with the appearance of his face, he concetrated on his hair. First, he re-straightened it, then put sculpting wax on the sleek brown mass, making it methodically disasterous in the back. "In the immortal words of Christian Siriano, 'that's fierce!'" Jason said, smiling widely as he examined his reflection in his mirror yet again. His gaze wondered over to the clock perched on his bedside table and he gasped loudly. "Shit! I'm late!" he yelled, running out of his room, not even bothering to turn off the lights. Barely managing to grab his keys on the way out, Jason sprinted towards his car. He gave a smalle jump, sliding over the hood of the small black vehicle expertly. This was something he did out of habit whenever he got the chance. He threw the driver's side door open, climbing inside hastily and starting the engine. The car skidded out of the driveway and down the street, making it to the coffeeshop in record time. "I'm here!" Jason yelled, panting heavily as he stumbled in the door of the establishment. He recieved strange looks from the seven people in the building but thought nothing of it, waving to them happily. "Tina, I live!" Jason called and stepped through the door of her office. He was immediately greeted by the gorgeous sight of Caleb staring at him questioningly. Apparently, Tina had been briefing the blonde on the general rules and procedures that the employees were required to follow. "Thank you for living then, Jason. Well, he can tell you the rest. Good luck," Tina said, addressing first Jason, then Caleb. "Alright. Thanks," Caleb said, smiling at his new boss, then turning towards Jason. He waited patiently, wondering why Jason was staring at him with that dazed look in his eyes. "Oh...yeah. I'm Jason and you're...Caleb, right?" Jason asked, playing like he wasn't the slight stalker that he was. "Cale," the blonde corrected, offering Jason a small smile that almost made him gasp from the sheer beauty of the expression. "Okay then, Cale. I suppose I have to show you around this place," Jason said, beaming back at him happily. 'Tina, I am forever in your debt for hiring this gorgeous eye candy for me,' he thought. "Wicked. You lead the way," Cale said, making an almost unnoticable gesture towards the door. "Right," Jason said, still smiling as he walked past him. "First, I'll show you the stockroom, since it's closest and I'm lazy." Cale didn't crack a smile, already not liking Jason. In his opinion, the boy was trying too hard to get him to like him. It was becoming obnoxious already, and to add to this fact, Jason was obviously open about being gay. Cale wasn't a homophobe of anything and he had no problem at all with gay people, but the way Jason was acting now suggested that Cale was going to be hit upon by Jason by the end of today. This was definately something that he was not looking forward to, seeing as Cale was 100 percent straight. "...the way these people go through espresso beans, you would think we make them with meth." Cale was broken out of his thoughts by Jason's voice and he quickly adopted a questioning look. "Well, do you?" he asked, his voice completely serious-sounding even though he was joking. "Of course we do. If it keeps the customers coming back, Tina'll do it," Jason replied, sounding serious as well. "So is that why she's dressed like a cheap whore?" Caleb asked, cracking a small smile. "Haha. Yeah," Jason laughed, turning back to the boxes of supplies. 'Hot and funny. That definately ups his point total,' Jason thought happily. "Okay, so now we're moving on," he said, abruptly turning around and grabbing Cale's arm, leading him out the door. Cale's eyebrows raised slightly at the other's forwardness and he casually yet pointedly shrugged out of his grasp. Jason shrugged and kept walking, Cale noticing his reaction and liking him even less. The tour was promptly over, the coffeeshop being one of the smallest buildings on the street. "So yeah. That's it. Any questions?" Jason said, putting his hands together in front of his chin and resting them there. "No," Cale said, wanting to communicate with Jason as little as possible at the moment. "Alrighty, cool. So, basic etiquette. All that needs to be said for that is don't be a jackass and don't be too friendly, because then you'll end up in awkward situations," Jason said, nodding as if he knew this well from prior experience. "That's a given," Cale said, his tone of voice portraying an unamused emotion. "Did Tina tell you what she wanted you to do for today?" Jason asked, giving up on the whole 'try to be charming' attitude and becoming sullen. "Yeah. I think she wanted me to work the other register," Cale said, crossing his arms across the deep blue shirt that covered a slim torso, the lines of which were visible through the tight fabric. "Awesome," Jason said by way of dismissal and walked off to the register he would be manning. 'Ugh, of course the only hot guy that works here has to be a douche,' Jason thought, rolling his eyes. 'That is exactly what I get for making out with that guy last week. God, his girlfriend was pissed.' "Jason, can I get some help?" Cale asked, looking over at the other with a confused/frustrated look that complimented all of his flawless features. "Yeah," Jason replied quietly. He had been momentarily stunned by Cale's face. Another thing he noticed was that not only did the boy's face portray his expression, the emotion seemed to eminate from his body, affecting everyone around him. "What was your order again, ma'am?" Jason asked politely, his mind still a bit foggy. "A hazlenut iced coffee," the woman replied almost acidly, obviously annoyed by the hold up. "This button is for iced coffee," Jason said, moving a bit to his right so Cale could see what he was doing. "And then you press three for the hazlenut flavor. Was that all?" Jason said, his eyes flitting back up to the woman who had busied herself with running her manicured fingers through her longe blonde hair. "Yeah," she said, not looking toward Jason or Cale. "So then you press enter and it gives you the total, tax included. Did Tina show you how to make one of these?" he asked, looking up at Cale innocently while placing the money in the register. Cale had been busy looking over Jason's skinny frame, lost in his own thoughts regarding the other. "Uh, no," he said, then gave a somewhat apologetic smile. The dark-haired boy sighed, walking back and demonstrating how to prepare the drink, then handed it to Cale to present to the unhappy looking customer. "Have a nice day," Cale said, offering a dazzling smile by Jason's standards. "Yeah," the girl said snottily, rolling her eyes and walking away, cell phone to her ear and flip-flops making small noises. "Ugh, bitch," Cale said quietly, making a disgusted face at her retreating form. "Hey, thanks Jason," he added and turned around to find the space next to him empty.

June 8, 2008Sans Vous, Je Suis Mort ~Chapter 1~*Fate Is No Longer A Bitch*Hey, this is my new story. It's M//, so don't read it if you don't like it!!!
"Hey, Tina," Jason Adahlia greeted his boss as he entered the coffeeshop he had been calling his place of employment for an estimated year. She smiled her typical, cheap red-lipped smile back at him, then returned her attention to her current customer. Jason's cheery smile soon faded from his pale, full lips as he stepped inside of the stockroom. He brushed his chin-length dark brown bangs out of his face as he reached up to the top shelf, removing the communal inventory clipboard. Jason let escape a bored sigh as he lesiurely checked off the items present on the clipboard, his tongue playing with one of his shiny snakebites. "Well, that's done," he said, tossing the clipboard along with the weathered pen back up on the shelf and exiting the drab room. The only aspect of this job that he found even moderately amusing was the people-watching it permitted. He took his place behind the cash register that had been recently vacated by his aging boss and scanned the passing faces on the street. It was noon on a warm, spring Saturday in Los Angeles, so there was a mass of people passion on their way to the beach. 'Oooh, he's hot,' Jason thought as his black painted fingernails tapped rhythmically against the countertop. At his high-school, he was known amongst his senior class as the "gay emo kid with a nice sense of humor". Jason thought of these as words of endeerment, seeing as he believed them to be true in his point of view. The bell above the door tolled, breaking Jason out of his daze reluctantly. His eyeliner encased eyes wondered over to the slim boy who had just entered the shop. There wasn't one aspect of him that Jason missed, taking in everything from his choppy blonde hair, tight t-shirt, and black Vans. The boy approached the counter that Jason was manning, smiling slightly at him. "Uhm, do you know who I could talk to if I wanted to apply for a job?" the boy asked, his bright blue eyes sparkling under thick eyelashes. "Well, if you were going to apply for said position, I suppose I would be your best bet. Our manager's off somewhere doing...manager things, but I'm Assistant Manager," Jason said, his perfect white teeth gleaming as he flashed the gorgeous boy a warm smile. "Cool, so...job application?" the other male asked, his tenor voice chiming with laughter. "Oh...yeah. Here you go," Jason said, snapping out of his hot-guy induced daydream and pulling a piece of paper out from behind the counter. He passed a pen over the countertop, observing the other's nimble fingers as he picked it up. 'He's really hot,' Jason thought as he watched the other move to sit at a table. 'He must be a guitarist, with fingers like that. Either that, or really "experienced"...He looks like he's my age, too. Why the hell haven't I seen him before?! Did he drop out of school or something?' His thoughts were yet again interrupted as a balding man cleared his throat, having been standing in front of Jason for a few minutes. "Dude, you interrupted my hot guy daydream!" Jason said, turning to stare at the man exasperatedly. "Welcome to Solar Eclipse Cafe. What can I get you, sir?" he asked, his expression abruptly changing to that of an interested worker. The man smiled and placed his order, waiting patiently as Jason prepared the caffienated drink. The blonde kept his eyes fixed upon the paper, filling everything that was required of him with a blank expression playing on his flawless features. "Have a nice life," he said pleasantly as the man made to leave, giving Jason a concerned expression upon hearing his departing words. He dropped the coins the man had given him into the hollows of the cash register at random, not caring where they were meant to be placed, and doing the same with the bills. The other boy came back up to the counter several minutes later, handing Jason the paper and pen. "I'll have that chick give you a call when she decides," he said, examining the paper closely as the boy exited the cafe. He took one last fleeting glance at the gorgeous boy, then returned to his examination. Name: Caleb Fauhlmann The list continued on with cell phone number, place of residence, and typical things like that. Jason absorbed all the necessary information, smiling to himself evilly. "I have no progressed to regular stalker..." he murmered to himself as he walked away from the counter to Tina's office. "We just got a job application," he said, flopping the paper onto her desk in front of her sleeping form. "Tina! Wake up, you dipshit!" he yelled, slamming his hand down on her desk. The woman woke with a start, her heavily make-upped eyelids fluttering open. "Heh?" she asked, removing her shirt of the wrinkles it had gathered in her bout of unconciousness. "We got a job application. And you better hire him 'cuz he's fucking gorgeous!" Jason said, turning away from her and returning to the front counter. He smiled to himself silently, Tina coming to him after an hour or so, informing the beaming male that there would be a new man added to their "team". "It's going to be up to you to train him," she said, eyeing Jason seriously. "That'll be no problem at all," he answered, smirking evilly. Tina gave him a confused/suspicious look, then retreated to her office to inform Caleb by way of phone. Jason, meanwhile, was thinking of how much fun this was going to be and looking forward to the start of his shift on Monday, that day also being Caleb's first day on the job.

May 5, 2008MCROMFG, MCR ON SATURDAY WAS THE SHIT!!!!! First of all, the two opening acts were Drive By and Billy Talent. Drive By was amazing, but Billy Talent had the most stage prescense. They totally got the whole crowd energized and even tired out. Haha. Then came the main attraction................MCR!!!! Hehe. They played a few of their songs, then Gerard paused to go on about how he had bought the $40 pants he was wearing that night and how the fly kept coming unzipped. Then he goes "What are you all looking at??? You can't see anything!!!!" and pulls at the zipper. He also had the whole audience make our prostestations known when he encouraged us to stick up the middle finger, symbolizing our "fuck you"s to Dah Man. After the concert, I got a signed CD from Drive By and my girlfriend got the same, plus they signed her shoe. Haha. It was amazing and I'm still basking in the glory of it all two days later.

||*|| Jessica's POV ||*||
"Thank all of you for everything! This was the most fun I've had in so long," I said after I had paid and we were exiting the restauraunt. "No problem!" Matt replied. "Seriously! We had as much fun as you did. Especially Jared," Shannon said and nudged his younger brother, who turned a light shade of red. "Shutup Shannon!" Jared yelled and punched Shannon in the arm. "You two must never get tired or something. But I do and I still have to drive Tomo home, so I'll see you all later," I told them and walked with Tomo to my car. I waved at them and got in. For the first couple minutes of the drive, I was silent, going ober the events of the evening. "Now what's wrong with you?" Tomo asked, pulling me from my head and back to reality. "Nothing. I was just thinking about how fun being sociable is sometimes, that's all. Why do you think something's the matter when I'm quiet for a while?" I answered. "Because usually when I'm with you, you don't shutup," Tomo laughed. "I don't, do I? Haha! I guess it's also because I'm tired." "Uhmm...You wanna do something with me tomorrow? Well, I guess tomorrow's technically today, but you get my point?" "Sure, what did you have in mind?" I looked at his expression. Was it...hopeful? "I dunno. Maybe we could...go to the theater?" "Awesome! What movie?" I was happy to get away from all the excitement that was today. "Whatever you wanna see," Tomo said, obviously as excited as I was. He'd never been this hesitant and nerbous before. Weird. "I don't care. We could just walk in at a random time tomorrow and see what's playing." "Sounds fun! So what time should I pick you up? Yes, I'm driving," he added. "Fine. How bout like 5-ish. Then we could do dinner after." Tomo and I had dinner all the time, nothing special considering he's my best friend. "That's cool. Well, see you then!" he said as we pulled up to his house and he got out. "Alright, bye!" I yelled back, as he was alreadyhalfway up his sidewalk. I drove away, thinking about how strangely Tomo was acting. ************************ I walked through the door, only to be met y my mom stading by the stairs, glaring at me. "Where the hell have you been?! It's 3 in the morning!" she yelled and I just stood where I was, glaring back at her with all my for her showing through my eyes. "Why do you care? You haven't given a shit about me since Lindsay died!" I shouted back, enraged as the memories of how she treated and continues to treat me came flooding back all at once. "You know I don't wanna talk about it and that it was all your fault! You're the one that introduced her to all that fucking emo music! It's your fault she was unhappy! It's your fault that she killed herself!!!!" That was too much, and I had nothing to say. I just looked at her, tears forming and finally exploding onto my cheeks. But she looked back, not caring what she had done to me just now, not caring about her hatred for me filling the air around us. I pushed past her and ran up to my room. I locked the door and walked over to the balcony, sobbing now. What would happen if I jumped? Who would care? No one, that's wo. I'm on the second story and if I'm lucky I'll land on my neck. Of I could just try the pills again. It would've worked the first time fi Tomo hadn't found me...Tomo. How would he take it if I was gone? Would he be said? Relieved? I'm pretty sure he cares about me. But that would make him the only one. By this time, I'd calmed myself down and was sitting with my legs dangling betweenthe balcony bars. Usually when i think about suicide, tiget me father away from actually trying it. Kind of aweird, but good I guess. "If anything, I'll stay alive for Tomo," I said out loud, even though no one could hear me. "Who's Tomo?" I heard from below me. "Holy fuck! Who's there?" I screamed and got up to look for the mystery person. "Just me, Trey. You know, you're neighbor?" he said, emerging from the shadows. "What were you doing sitting outside your house at 3 am?" I asked, calming down a bit but still kind of afraid. "I couldn't sleep and I felt like going outside for awhile. What are you doing sitting on you balcony at 3 am, mumbling about this Tomo dude?" "I just got home and I came out here to think. And Tomo's my best friend. Why the hell am I telling you all this? I just met you!" The last part was more to myself than to Trey, but there goes the thinking aloud again. "Don't ask me! And you haven't met me cuz I just moved in today. By the way, what's your name?" he asked. "Oh, sorry. I'm Jessica. I would shake your hand or something, ut there's a bit of a distance between us." "I could fix that. But only if you want," Trey offered. "How would you do that?" I was a bit confused now. "Uhmm, there's a huge tree right beside your balcony." "Oh, that. Uh, sure. Why not?" I said and wathced him climb the thick branches skillfully. "Wow, you're good at that," I said when he was standing next to me. In the light from my bedroom, I could see his features. He was goregeous! Dark brown, shaggy hair, piercing green eyes, tall, around my age, and best of all, not preppy. He had on a tight Silverstein shirt, black skinny jeans, and Etnies. "See, that wasn't that hard. Nice to meet you," he said and stuck out his hand for me to shake. "Erm, nice to meet you too." I took his hand and tried not to stare. "So, what were you thinking about when you started talking to yourself?" "It was nothing. Just...stuff. I realy don't wanna talk about it, if you don't mind," I answered, going back to the old routine of locking myself up on the inside. "No, that's fine. What do you wanna talk about? I didn't climb that fucking tree in these pants just to stand here, you know," he joked. His smile was even more stunning than his regular face, if that was possible. "Haha! How about music?" I asked, motioning for him to sit down, as I was going to. "Sure. What are you favorite bands? Someone that dresses like that can't like gangsta rap, right?" He's funny too. Definately a bonus, but like he needed one. "Well, I just went to an MCR concert tonight. But I also like Hawhtorne Heights, Silverstein (I pointed at his shirt), Aiden, AFI, Fall Out Boy. Lot's of genres of rock. What about you?" "Basically the same. How was the concert? Are they as good live as people they are?" Trey asked. "Better. The whole atmosphere is electric. But you have to be in the crowd for that. Seats are for pansies and old people," I laughed. "Haha! Very true. Any Frerard action?" "Yeah, there was the famous Freard mic-kiss. But why do you wanna know?" I asked him because that question had caught me completely off guard. "Cuz Gerard and Frank make a cute couple. And before you ask, I'm not gay. I'm bi. There's a difference." "Oh, ok." I laughed for awhile, only to be joined by Trey. Everything about him was perfect. His laugh, his smile, his looks, what I knew of his personality. WE talked until the sun came up, at which point we watched it. Another great thing about him is that he didn't try to make any moves on me. He just sat there listening to what I said and explaining about himself whenever I'd stopped talking. "Oh my god! It's eight in the morning! It's been really nice talking to you and all, but I gotta sleep," Trey said, getting up and starting down the tree again. "Ok, me too. I'll see you later then!" I replied, watching him as he reached the ground, waved, and walked into his house. "Holy Jesus...I think I love him," I spoke softly to myself when I was sure no one was listening.
